Hi team, it’s Taylor, Bob’s Finance Director, here with a crucial update on our race: in the last fundraising quarter of 2024, we were outraised. 

These were the first fundraising numbers we’ve seen from David McCormick’s campaign this cycle, and here are the unfortunate truths:

— McCormick is already starting to self-fund his race by writing himself a $1 million check.

— A super PAC supporting him just announced that it raised nearly $18 million – a record-breaking amount. 

As finance director, it’s my job to ensure that we have the resources to compete. That’s why our team set a goal to raise $75,000 in 48 hours.

But it isn’t all bad news. Here’s what gives me hope in the grassroots support we’re building:

— Last quarter, 92% of contributions to our campaign were under $100.

— We received more than 59,000 contributions from over 36,000 donors.
