** A Note from Patrick Gipson….
------------------------------------------------------------
Governor Gavin Newsom just released his new state budget plan last week. Sacramento politicians will attempt to correct a $38 billion deficit of their own creation. The Governor has even said he is prepared to declare a state of fiscal emergency if necessary.
Unfortunately, our state leaders decided that pandering to special interests and their pet projects in previous budgets was the right thing to do. Now, our state is facing a fiscal emergency.
Not only that, but our families are facing difficult decisions on how to make ends meet between the rising costs at the gas pump, shopping bills increasing at the grocery store, and skyrocketing costs to heat our homes. It's time for us to act!
That's one reason why I am running for Assembly. I want to bring pragmatic, down-to-earth, reasonable solutions to our state's problems. As a former Deputy Sheriff, that is exactly what I did every day on the job, and it's the same approach that I will bring to Sacramento. It's time to send someone to Sacramento who wants to find solutions, not just take the easy way out for our state.
Join the fight, and join me in fighting for our community!
Sincerely,
Patrick Gipson
Retired Deputy Sheriff
