No images? Click here Dear John, This has not been an easy week for many people around the world. We are all navigating new challenges and concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. We hope that every one of you stays healthy and safe. Our priority, as always, is the health and well-being of family farmers and ranchers. Farm Aid staff are working (from home) to learn all we can about the impacts of this virus on farmers, rural communities and our food system. We are collaborating and contributing to plans and policies in development to respond to the disaster. And as always, we are connecting to farmers and ranchers on our hotline. Already, we have seen people coming together to create solutions, farmers getting creative about how they can continue to feed their communities, and volunteers willing to donate their time and energy to take care of the most vulnerable people in our country. We are inspired by this spirit of generosity and compassion. Together we will make it through this challenge, and hopefully on the other side, we will emerge stronger than before. As Willie always says: Stay Strong and Positive, From all of us at Farm Aid It's officially spring, which means time to think about planting. Have you tried your hand at growing peas? They're one of the first crops you can plant in early spring. All it takes to grow peas is a little bit of space, seeds, and some know-how (which you can get from our HOMEGROWN 101). |
