John,
We hope the holiday season offered you time for reflection and that the new year is bringing hope and growth.
We know the holiday season meant many people spent more time at home with family. Sadly, for some people, "home" is not a safe environment – not during the holidays, and not during any other time of the year.
That’s why we need your help in bringing an end to the crisis of domestic violence that plagues Wisconsin. We must make it clear to our legislators that we stand with victims and survivors – not their abusers. [[link removed]]
In Wisconsin, a dangerous loophole makes it nearly impossible to prevent many domestic abusers from accessing guns. Because most domestic violence homicides are committed with guns, this is a deadly oversight.
A bill has been introduced to address this problem – but lawmakers must act now, before the legislative session ends. They absolutely can do something about this: they just need to act.
Demand our legislators disarm domestic abusers. Demand they do it now! [[link removed]] [[link removed]]
