My team reached out over the holiday weekend to remind you of tonight's mid-month fundraising deadline, and just in case you missed it, I wanted you to hear directly from me why your support is so important.

As you know, this year's elections are critically important for our country, and with a razor-thin majority, losing even one seat in the Senate could spell disaster for all the progress we've made over the past few years.

Failing to protect our Democratic majority could mean Mitch McConnell as Majority Leader in the Senate. It could mean fewer resources for our Veterans, fewer opportunities for working families nationwide and would put reproductive freedoms for millions of Americans at risk.

The right wing and their super PACs are fully aware of this. That's why they're ready to pour millions of dollars into trying to defeat every Senate Democrat up for re-election in November, and why I'm committed to doing everything it takes to stop them.

The bottom line is that we need to keep up our strong fundraising numbers throughout the year ahead so that I can best help my colleagues in tough races nationwide.

That's why I'm asking:

Can you rush in a contribution — of $5 or anything you can — before my team's mid-month fundraising deadline tonight at midnight? I would not ask if it wasn't so important.
