Last night’s Iowa Caucus officially kicked off the 2024 election season. While there was little surprise to how things would turn out, there are a few interesting takeaways from the results.

Here are my takeaways from the Iowa Caucus:

The
MAGA
movement
and
the
GOP
are
one
in
the
same.
Extremism
and
divisive
rhetoric
is
the
norm
of
the
modern
GOP.
In
fact,
a
disturbing
poll
found
42%
of
Iowa’s
GOP
caucus
goers
said
Trump’s
dehumanizing
rhetoric
toward
immigrants
that
mirrored
language
used
by
Hitler
made
them
more
likely
to
support
him.

None
of
the
GOP
candidates
running
are
in
any
way
“moderate.”
All
of
them
support
banning
books,
controlling
our
bodies,
giving
tax
breaks
to
their
wealthy
donors,
and
gutting
Social
Security
and
Medicare.
They
spend
more
time
talking
about
pardoning
Trump
than
what
they
would
do
for
working-class
families.

Electing
Democrats
is
the
only
way
we
defeat
MAGA
and
Donald
Trump.
It’s
apparent
that
there
is
no
going
back
for
today’s
Republican
Party.
The
only
way
we
stop
the
MAGA
movement
is
by
voting
for
Democrats
up
and
down
the
ballot
in
2024.
If we’re going to break the MAGA fever, protect our democracy, and ensure the progress made over the last few years isn’t rolled back for working families, we must all do our part. Please show up, speak out, and consider a contribution today. [[link removed]]
