Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King fought tirelessly as a leader of the Civil Rights Movement. His contributions to our country are immeasurable, and today we focus on our commitment to living through his legacy of kindness, equality, and service.
One of my favorite quotes from Dr. King that I carry with me as a husband, a father, and most recently a Congressional candidate is, “The time is always right to do the right thing.”
In times like these, when division seems to be more prominent than unity, it’s important to remember it always comes back to the value of standing up for what's right and giving a voice to those who need it.
I encourage you to do some good for your friends, family, or community today and remember to live through the lessons that Dr. King’s life and legacy have taught us.
