U.S. Congressional Representative Ron Wright (R-TX) previously told us that women who have abortions should “absolutely” face punishment. This is especially scary as several people have already faced criminalization for self-managed abortion, and we can expect interest in self-managed abortion to increase during the coronavirus crisis.

What’s more, a county within Rep. Wright’s Texas district recently declared itself an anti-abortion “sanctuary for the unborn.” Watch Rep. Wright’s horrifying comments on the criminalization of abortion and demand action now.

The Ellis County commissioners, all of whom are men, enforced their anti-abortion “conservative values” which put people seeking abortion care in danger. Rep. Wright celebrated this decision, further instilling his loathing for autonomous women and their reproductive health.

We won’t stand by as abortion opponents harm our communities and our freedom. Watch our video of Rep. Wright and sign our petition holding him accountable.
