Did you know that you can personally help save babies from abortion in your state?

Thanks to U.S. Safe Haven laws, babies across the country who would otherwise have been abandoned or killed by abortion, are being saved. Since 1999, the lives of over 4,700 innocent children have been protected.

Many states have implemented baby boxes, which are typically located in safe places like hospitals, fire stations, or churches, where a parent can safely and anonymously surrender their infant.

For example, a baby box that was recently installed in Beech Grove, Indiana, has already saved the lives of 17 children! This impact at the local level is helping build a culture of life and rescuing children who would otherwise be victims of abortion.

John, do you know your own state’s unique Safe Haven law? Every state has a Safe Haven law with simple specific age and location restrictions unique to each state.

In some states, like Washington and California, the time limit for surrendering your baby is short - only three days. But in other states, like North Dakota, you can surrender your baby for up to one year.

In addition, parents facing crisis pregnancy situations can utilize the Safe Haven Baby Boxes hotline (1-866-99BABY1), which provides resources to help parents so the Baby Box can be the last resort.

The hotline has received over 9,000 calls from every state in the U.S. and has referred over 500 women to crisis pregnancy centers, assisted in adoption referrals, and has had over 140 legal Safe Haven surrenders.

Safe Haven laws reinforce fundamental truths: No parent has to feel alone, a new child is always going to be loved and cared for by someone, and abortion is never necessary.
