My friend,
On this Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember one of the greatest civil rights leaders in our nation’s history; whose voice inspired millions to march toward a more equitable future for all.
Dr. King’s mission reflects the highest of democratic ideals. He stood for equal opportunities in public education, equal justice in the court of law, and equal access to the ballot box. His movement ensured that freedom and equality applied to all Americans – not a select few.
Dr. King inspired generations of activists and leaders to keep up the good fight – but in 2024, there’s still plenty of work left to do.
Today, let’s honor Dr. King’s tremendous legacy and recommit ourselves to his example. An example of action, leadership, vision, and hope in the face of cruelty, adversity, and extremism.
An example worth following, today and every day.
Just as it was back in the days of Dr. King, the time is always right to do what is right.
