“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Herbert,

Today is a day to reflect on the impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and the responsibility we have to uphold his principles of justice, equality, and unity.

Dr. King’s teachings remain a beacon of inspiration and continue to guide us toward a more inclusive and compassionate community here in Baltimore County.

As County Executive, I’ve made it a priority to ensure our government reflects and respects the diversity of our County by bringing the government closer to the people it represents and creating a government that is open, accessible, and transparent.

Our diversity is what makes Baltimore County great and continues to drive our progress forward.

We still have work left ahead of us, but let this day serve as a call to action for positive change by promoting understanding, empathy, and community as we continue working towards a more fair and just Baltimore County.

Together,

Johnny O
