John,

On this day in 1929, Martin Luther King, Jr. was born. He was a child of the Great Depression, a time of economic inequality and poverty for so many. Yet he did not let that get in the way of leading a life filled with love and opportunity, as he was a son, a brother, and a father.

But he was also a minister and a civil rights pioneer.

He was a leader in the struggle for equality in the United States, and his life was filled with both triumph and tragedy. Today, we reflect on Dr. King's legacy and the work that still needs to be done.

More folks like us need to stand up and declare their intentions to carry on Dr. King’s work for the greater good — because when we make a concerted effort as a team, it can ignite even bigger, more impactful movements.

In honor of Dr. King and for our future, let's turn our commitment to justice into action. Let's commit to educating ourselves and others about the ongoing struggle for equality.

Share knowledge and engage in conversations that promote understanding and empathy. Join a local service project, volunteer at a community organization, or find ways to support those in need. Reach out to someone who may have a different perspective than yours, engage in open conversations, and strive to build bridges across divides.

John, we can strive to embody the spirit of service and make a positive impact in our communities. If you're ready to carry on Dr. King's legacy, please join us by adding your name >>>
