Friend,
Today marks what would have been Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 95th birthday. On this day, we honor his legacy and reflect not only on his inspiring words but also on the profound impact of his actions.
In August, I had the privilege of standing alongside fearless leaders for racial justice and civil rights at the March on Washington, speaking from the same place that Dr. King delivered his deeply inspirational "I Have a Dream" speech 60 years ago.
During that powerful gathering, we heard from leaders across the movement whose words served as a reminder not only of the strength that comes from our unity, but also of the road that is still ahead of us.
At this critical juncture in history, we are confronted by white supremacists who continue to engage in unspeakable acts, systemic racism, and xenophobia directed at immigrant communities. Many of our existing freedoms are under attack.
This moment requires collective action. Let us heed Dr. King’s call to join together and fight for human rights and the dignity of all people.
That’s why we are calling on you, friend, to lend your voice and stand with us in this fight. Let us be distributors of justice and use our collective power to ensure that every person in this country — regardless of what we look like, where we are from, or how much money we have — has the freedom to thrive.
Together, we can and will.
