Today, the world honors and remembers the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

His words and actions have influenced and inspired millions of activists nationwide for decades. One quote that stands out to Team MDP today is:

It’s important to look toward Dr. King’s words and leadership as we prepare for this momentous election year. Together, we can do what’s right as we work to elect leaders who are making Michigan a better state for all Michiganders.

This year is going to be a challenge, but when we come together and elect Democrats, we continue down the path toward progress and move this country forward.

Today, on the day that we honor Dr. King’s life and legacy, we can recommit our shared promise to overcome the difficulties and frustrations of our work to make a better, more just, and fair America for us all.
