With our country polarized and at a crossroads about our national
identity, Dr. King’s message of love, nonviolence, and justice is more
important now than ever before.

He taught us that while we may disagree, there’s far more that connects us
than divides us.

But he also taught us that we must not waver in the face of injustice —
that we must face down inequity and bigotry, as well as those who wield
them as weapons. We must be relentless in our quest for social justice and
the common good.

His vision for a world of inclusion, fairness, and equal opportunity is
one we’re still trying to attain, but it’s worth fighting for.

Because as he reminds us, “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it
bends toward justice.”
