John,
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired us — to make real for all the promise of America, to fight for political, social, and economic justice, to act with urgency, and to keep pushing even when it’s hard.
King taught that progress isn’t inevitable or permanent and that we must act to achieve and then keep it. Today we’re reminded that it’s up to us, and every new generation, to fight for justice.
This weekend, I attended the State MLK Ceremony in Raleigh and the Asheville Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast to honor King’s legacy and those continuing his work here in North Carolina.
As Governor, I will be committed to continuing the fight for justice and equality here in North Carolina.
Our work continues,
Josh
