Today and every day, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
While we work to fulfill his dream, the everyday gun violence that plagues our country is a painful reminder of the work that remains to achieve his vision of a more just and peaceful America.
Dr. King dedicated his life to promoting equality, justice, and peace. In the spirit of his teachings, we will continue to fight against gun violence in our communities. Our collective responsibility is to work towards and support solutions to end violence.
We are committed to addressing the crisis of gun violence that disproportionately affects Black and brown communities. His work also reminds us that every step towards justice, no matter how small, is a stride towards a more equitable world.
This past year, we have seen significant progress in our fight against gun violence:
-
Strengthening community outreach and violence prevention programs.
- Collaborating with policymakers and community leaders to advocate for impactful legislation.
- Expanding our efforts to provide support and resources to those most affected by gun violence.
We are grateful for your support and hope you will continue to contribute to building a more just and peaceful world, reflecting the values that MLK Jr. stood for.
