John,

As we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I hope you take a moment to reflect on the enduring legacy of a remarkable leader.

Dr. King’s vision for a more inclusive and equitable society laid the foundation for progress in civil rights. Today, the work toward racial and economic justice is an ongoing journey that requires our collective action and commitment.

On this day, let’s recommit ourselves to the principles of justice, unity, and compassion. Let’s honor Dr. King’s memory by actively participating in the ongoing fight for a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background.

In our community and beyond, we can make a difference by standing up against injustice, promoting inclusivity, and working toward economic opportunities for all. Dr. King’s dream of a “beloved community” is something we can build together, step by step, day by day.

As we pay tribute to the extraordinary legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., let’s also look ahead with hope and determination. By joining forces, we can continue the journey toward a more just and equitable society.

Wishing you a reflective and meaningful Martin Luther King Jr. Day,

Matt Cartwright
