Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. was nothing short of a trailblazer for civil rights and justice for Black Americans. He and so many other civil rights leaders are why we have our voting rights today.
Now, those voting rights that civil rights leaders fought so hard for are under attack. We must do everything to protect them – especially as we enter this make-or-break election year. We must remain diligent to ensure that everyone has access to the ballot box.
So, as we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. and the accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement, let’s look forward to how we’ll protect our fundamental right to vote today and continue to bend the arc toward justice!
In solidarity,
