Hi John,
I'd love to see Dr. King's Twitter feed. I'm convinced it would be epic, a bastion of democracy in the otherwise raging dumpster fire.
You know what it wouldn't be? ____ Blank.
Dr. King spent a lifetime boldly saying what others wouldn't, and then doing what others were too afraid to.
So it’s not enough to praise Dr. King today. Given the threats to our nation and our nation's ideals, we'd be best served today by remembering that “our lives begin to end on the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Dr. King never was. We mustn't be silent now either.
And we have to do more than just talk (or tweet or repost). We’ve got to act. The message today should not just be Let’s all remember. To truly honor Dr. King, today's message should be Let’s all get down to work.
There is still so much to do.
