Twenty-five million women live in states with new abortion bans or restrictions. As Florida residents, my two daughters and I are among them.

And soon, that number could increase. Far-right extremists like Rick Scott are fighting to take these dangerous bans nationwide — he just told The Hill last week that “abortion is a ‘tough issue for women,’” but he’s “unabashedly pro-life.” Friend, I'm fighting to end these dangerous bans — for all of us.

The Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade unleashed a tidal wave of state bans on abortion, attacks on our reproductive rights, and even attempts to restrict birth control access.

Polls show that most voters oppose extreme abortion bans — even in deep-red states. But we need to show a united force to send a clear message to the extremists trying to strip away our rights.
