Huge crowd takes to the streets of D.C. in Massive Rejection of Biden’s Genocide in Gaza
Yesterday’s National March for Gaza was a historic success, bringing 400,000 people into the streets of Washington D.C. The ANSWER Coalition was proud to be the National Partner for this action that was called by the American Muslim Task Force for Palestine. The resounding turnout increased the growing pressure on the White House to end its participation in the genocide against Gaza.
The movement in the United States continues to grow. On November 4, hundreds of thousands of people came together in a historic march in support of Palestine. The fact that a second mass march in Washington, D.C. within two months has taken place shows that consciousness in the United States on the issue of Palestine has gone through a sea change. But we have to keep the momentum growing every day. The genocide continues and we must work to end occupation and apartheid completely. We can do it! <[link removed]>
Speakers who addressed the rally called out the complicity of the Biden administration in Israel’s ongoing war on the Palestinian people in Gaza and demanded that the White House listen to the voices of the American people, who today overwhelmingly support a ceasefire.

Today, tens of thousands are marching through the streets of San Francisco for a West Coast sister action.
The hundreds of thousands in the streets of the U.S. capital demanded an immediate and permanent ceasefire, an end to U.S. aid to Israel, and that Israel be held accountable for the war crimes it has committed in Gaza. The march took on even greater significance in the wake of Biden’s massive escalation of the war with two consecutive nights of attacks against Yemen. The administration is even willing to risk a devastating regional war that draws U.S. troops into a deadly conflict just to help Israel sustain its genocide against Palestinians. The people of this country need to mobilize in huge numbers to prevent this grave danger from becoming a reality.
Supporters of Palestine traveled from every part of the country to be part of this action. Despite the bigoted propaganda that saturates the corporate media, and a long history of government surveillance and intimidation, the Muslim American community refused to be intimidated and formed the backbone of the protest. Hundreds of buses were organized by Masjids, anti-war organizations, and individuals who were determined to stand on the right side of history. The ANSWER Coalition organized buses and transportation, bringing people from New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Florida, Maine, South Carolina, North Carolina, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and many other cities.

The crowd eventually arrived at the White House, concluding at the doorstep of the war criminal whose genocidal policy has caused the deaths of over 23,000 Palestinians since October.
The hundreds of thousands who showed up in Washington, D.C. were joined by millions all around the world who participated in a global day of action in solidarity with Palestine as Israel’s war on Gaza is about to hit the 100-day mark. Rallies, strikes, and mass mobilizations were held in major cities of South Africa, Japan, Turkey, the UK, South Korea, Indonesia, Ireland, New Zealand, Ivory Coast, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Austria, Australia, Finland, as well as other cities across the United States.
The National March for Gaza was another milestone for the movement. Now we need to intensify our efforts in our local communities and build on this momentum.
