Let us quickly explain why:
Over the past year, Robert has been hard at work in Congress fighting for the American people, and holding extremist lawmakers accountable — lawmakers like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Mike Johnson — who continue to stir chaos and threaten our democracy.
Time and time again, Marjorie Taylor Greene and the far right have risked government shutdowns and the livelihoods of the American public by holding the government hostage unless their demands are met.
With the support of her far-right base, she pushed for the unjustifiable and unwarranted impeachment inquiry against President Biden while ignoring hard evidence of Trump’s wrongdoings. And extremist Speaker Mike Johnson yielded to her will.
Now, she’s threatened to call a vote to oust Mike Johnson if he doesn't abandon his deal with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and meet her budget demands.
No one person or minority should have enough power in Congress to risk a government shutdown. Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to do the bidding of Trump and Mike Johnson is aiding her cause.
