It's been another busy week in TX-23 and D.C.

Started the week off in San Antonio and traveled back to Washington on Tuesday to begin a new session of Congress. There's a lot of chaos in this town, but my focus is to continue delivering results and solutions for TX-23. We've got a lot of work to get done this year, but I'm ready to roll.

Border Security Partnerships

The U.S. and Central America must partner on border security and stop mass migration. On Wednesday, I met with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei alongside members of the Congressional Hispanic Conference. I will continue to work with anyone who will help put an end to our border crisis.

On the Ground in TX-23

Northside ISD is making school safety a priority. On Monday, I toured the job site for the Chumbley Elementary School’s new facility. Chumbley Elementary School will have a single-entry point, bulletproof windows, and a one-touch button that automatically secures 90 classrooms.

In Congress, I founded the Bipartisan School Safety and Security Caucus. As a father of six, I'll never waiver in my commitment to keeping our children safe in the classroom this hits home for many of us.

Congressman Gonzales visited the future site of Chumbley Elementary School.

Somerset High School Visit

Our future is bright here in TX-23! I visited the life skills class and 10th-grade students at Somerset High School this week. I enjoyed taking their questions and sharing more about my job in Congress. Thanks for having me!

Building Better Businesses

While in San Antonio, I met with members of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center and local small business owners over lunch. Our communities thrive when local businesses have the tools they need to grow and develop. Great discussions all around.
