There's no way to sugarcoat this, friend: Fundraising has been slow to start off the year. With less than 36 hours left to reach our first mid-month goal of the election year, I just ran the numbers, and we're still 446 donations short of where we need to be.

This is serious: Unlike his self-funding GOP opponents, Sherrod relies on grassroots supporters like you to fund this campaign. In fact, while his opponents are personally writing their campaigns million-dollar checks, our average donation is just $26.

We're proud of that fact, and that this team is made up of tens of thousands of fired-up grassroots supporters who care about fighting for the Dignity of Work and defending our Senate majority.

But it does mean that in situations like this, when we need to make up a fundraising gap as quickly as possible, we need all hands on deck. That's why I have to ask: Before the mid-month deadline, will you chip in $26, or whatever you can, to help us reach our mid-month goal, win in Ohio, and keep the Senate blue?
