John,

Men acting like boys often leads to abortion.

Today we go to the Carolinas where we just sent two strong men--our General Counsel Matt Britton and our friend Fr. Frank Pavone.

When a South Carolina woman learned she was pregnant, her boyfriend quit talking to her, left his credit card on the table, and told her to use it to pay for an abortion.

Fortunately, Anne in Charleston decided to wake up early that day to attend the 40 Days for Life vigil.

"My friend tried to give her a brochure but realized the woman spoke very little English," Anne said.

Thanks be to God, Anne--who was just about to go home after finishing her prayer shift--speaks Spanish.

Anne redirected the expectant mother to a local pregnancy center and then met her there to translate.

"She didn't really want an abortion and had asked God for a sign of what she should do," Anne reported. "She kept saying over and over that I was her sign!"

The woman credited God for Anne being there, ready to speak with her in Spanish. Anne then joined her at her next pregnancy center appointment where she met her baby via ultrasound.

"Praise God for getting this night owl (me!) out of bed early on a Monday morning, and please continue to pray for my amiga".

In the last headquarters team visits before the Coronavirus shut down the country, Priests for Life National Director Fr. Frank Pavone joined 40 Days for Life Board Chair and General Counsel Matt Britton for a trip through the Palmetto State, where peaceful prayer is saving a LOT of babies.

Columbia, South Carolina

The 65 prayer warriors who welcomed Matt and Fr. Pavone in Columbia celebrated the announcement that two babies were saved at the vigil earlier that day, bringing Columbia's total to three since February 26.

Columbia is the home vigil for 4040 Scholarship winner John Mark Porter, who joined Matt and Fr. Pavone in speaking at the event.

John Mark overcame his fear of controversy to become one of the nation's most effective student pro-life leaders.

Greenville, South Carolina

Last fall, Greenville 40 Days for Life participants suffered persecution from rowdy protesters.

After connecting with our friends at the Thomas More Society (who have provided the prayer warriors with legal representation), they've had a calmer vigil in 2020.

And it's been a fruitful campaign! Just over halfway through the vigil, the Greenville team knows of FIVE babies spared from abortion.

Charleston, South Carolina

More than 100 pro-lifers attended the Charleston midpoint rally--including the Catholic bishop.

Matt said the abortion facility was teeming with escorts--and for good reason. Vigil participants in the "Holy City" have spared SEVEN moms and babies from abortion this campaign.

Praise God!

Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name.

-- Nehemiah 1:10-11

We pray for your continued guidance and protection throughout the remainder of this 40-day campaign. May we be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in Your work, knowing that our labor will not be in vain.
