Indivisibles,

My name is Tony Nam. I’m the National Finance and Operations Director for
Indivisible, which means you’re about to hear some numbers. The numbers
behind the work that allows us to win elections, change policy, and
transform our country.

I’m not big on making New Year’s resolutions, but personally and
professionally, I entered this year with one major goal in mind: Defeating
Trump and rejecting MAGA extremists this fall. On the eve of the Iowa
caucuses, the official kickoff of the 2024 election cycle, could the
stakes be any higher? Democracy is on the line. Our most fundamental
rights are on the line.

Our team has been planning, strategizing, and gearing up for this fight
for the past eight months, and the time has come to put those plans into
action. Most people start making their political donations in the summer
and fall, but now is really the time when we’ve got to make deep
investments in staffing and infrastructure. As promised, numbers:

* $296,000 to support the organizers, policy experts, and creative and
digital communication teams we’ll need to support our grassroots
outreach, particularly in key districts and battleground states like
Arizona.
* $50,000 for web costs, engineering support, and data access to scale
up our innovative Neighbor-to-Neighbor canvassing program, one of the
most effective GOTV tactics that’s been tested anywhere.
* $38,000 for digital tools for creative development, group engagement,
and recruiting new members.
* $25,000 on media and public engagement to keep our groups informed,
provide event support, and promote the movement’s work.
* $24,000 on travel and convening costs to enable staff organizers to
work directly with groups on the ground, gather and engage with
cohorts, and provide financial support for group-led events.

That’s just January. There is a lot more to be done week-to-week and
month-by-month until November 5. But it will take resources, and to be
totally frank, here at the start of the year, we do not have the funding
we need to do everything we want to have an impact this fall.

So today, as we’re gearing up for a grueling but existential election
year, I’m reaching out to ask if you can chip in to help us win. In
particular, I want to ask if you’ll become a sustaining donor, chipping in
monthly so we can plan our budgets and make strategic, long-term
investments.

As Finance Director, I see first-hand how critical the support from
individual donors is to this movement and the future of our country. Since
I joined the organization, I've been in awe of how Indivisibles, time and
again, meet the moment and how we can count on you to fund our work. This
movement never fails to ensure our groups and organizers have the
resources they need, and we don’t take that for granted. So however and
whenever you’re able to contribute (time, money, expertise), please know
how incredibly grateful we are.

In solidarity,
Tony Nam
National Finance and Operations Director, Indivisible
