My Dear and Precious
Siblings,
I just got off the stage and the
from the streets of Washington, D.C. with tens of thousands of people
of conscience to show this nation, the world, and the agents of the
derelict duopoly what love looks like in public for the precious
people of Gaza still being subjected to a barbaric genocide and a
brutal occupation.
Oh my siblings, it was a thing to
witness and an honor to take part in with people of all ages, gender
identities, races, ethnicities, and religions - it truly was a
profound glimpse of the dream Brother Martin Luther King prophesized
and offered to the world in this same city more than 50 years ago - it
was indeed what a principled movement looked like.
I know that while Gaza is what
brought people out today it was also something so much more. The
suffering of the Palestinian people has become a global symbol of what
my dear sister Angela Davis meant when she said that freedom is a
constant struggle. We know that while we struggle for Gaza we are also
struggling for poor and working class people right here in the USA, we
are struggling to topple a circumference of organized greed that has
politicians in the pockets of the oligarchy and cartels of Super PACs
who will do anything to continue the status quo and even try to have
you believe that we
are on the wrong side of
history, that we are driven by
hatred, and that you can only choose between de jure fascism or de
facto fascism.
