John,

On December 27th, less than an hour after Lauren Boebert announced her decision to dump her old district and move to Colorado’s 4th Congressional district, our campaign was one of the first to call out her move for what it was: a last ditch attempt to save her failing political career.

Now that we are a little over two weeks out from her announcement it’s clear that we aren’t the only ones saying it. Some of the loudest voices casting shade on the move are members of her own party.

Sandra Hagen Solin, a Colorado-based Republican strategist who has long worked with the congresswoman, called the move "desperate."

Republican Colorado state representative Richard Holtorf, who is also running in the GOP Primary for Colorado's fourth said: "Seat shopping isn't something the voters look kindly upon. If you can't win in your home, you can't win here."

Even the Chair of the Colorado GOP has chimed in:

The Hill Boebert gop chair

Republicans are ringing the alarm bells because they rightfully fear that Boebert’s arrival in Colorado’s 4th will turn what used to be a semi-safe Republican seat into a winnable seat for Democrats.

For once in my life, I have to agree with the Republicans: voters will recognize Boebert’s seat shopping as desperate political opportunism.

However, despite the outcries of her Republican colleagues, Boebert is still a national figure with millions in the bank. The odds are stacked in her favor to win her Republican primary and become the GOP nominee.

Boebert’s decision to risk it all and put herself ahead of her party is our greatest opportunity to flip this formerly red seat. As I learned while serving as an officer in Marine Corps Force Recon, “Never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake.”

If we want to be able to exploit Boebert’s grave mistake and seize upon this once in a lifetime opportunity to flip a historically red district, we are going to need your help.

Can I count on you to make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can spare to help us make Boebert’s misguided decision to run in CD-4 her last as a Congresswoman?
