John,
Bernie has been calling for an end to unconditional aid to Israel for weeks — after Netanyahu began the illegal, immoral, brutal, and grossly disproportionate war against the Palestinian people.
With Congress working on a funding bill to send Israel another $10 billion in unconditional aid, Bernie is saying NO — and calling on other members of Congress to oppose more U.S. funding for the bombing of civilians in Gaza.
Stand with Bernie: Add your name to urge members of Congress to oppose $10 billion in funding for Israel's war in Gaza.
Over 23,000 Palestinians have now been killed by Israel's war in Gaza, and women and children have accounted for two-thirds of those killed. It would be unconscionable for Congress to go ahead and send another $10 billion to Netanyahu during this horrific war on the people of Gaza.
Bernie recently said, “We must understand that Israel’s war against the Palestinian people has been significantly waged with U.S. bombs, artillery shells, and other forms of weaponry. And the results have been catastrophic.”
In an all-out effort to stop funding this war, Bernie is using all of the legislative maneuvers he can. He’s even invoking section 502b of the Foreign Assistance Act, which would force the Senate to vote on a State Department investigation into Israeli human rights abuses, which would then force a vote on finally conditioning any aid sent to Israel.
The lawmakers in Congress willing to speak out in support of a ceasefire and call for peace has been slowly growing — with Progressive champions of peace like Reps. Barbara Lee and Rashida Tlaib bravely taking a stand for an end to violence at the beginning of the conflict.
Now is a critical time to join Bernie, Lee, Tlaib, and other peace champions to urge Congress to stop supporting Netanyahu’s war.
Add your name: The U.S. cannot keep sending billions to Israel as Netanyahu continues the relentless bombing campaign in Gaza. Stand with Bernie and demand Congress say NO to this $10 billion in aid to Israel.
When we organize, we win.
