Jack, you would think that a former president arguing before a federal court that he has immunity from criminal charges would be historic, especially since the criminal charges are related to efforts he took to overturn an election. You would think that all the cable news networks would cover the proceedings.

That is, unless you are Fox News. Fox News felt that the more important story was that the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Hunter Biden's art dealer.

The big problem is that Fox News is the most-watched cable news network in the country. They have been the highest-rated cable news network for two decades and have a huge reach and influence over the American population.

Unlike so many other news outlets that are struggling to make ends meet because of shrinking advertising revenue, Fox News continues to thrive. They have been affected by declining advertising revenue, but that's not where most of their revenue comes from—it comes from cable fees. Fox News rakes in billions of dollars in these fees that everyone who; pays for cable contributes to.

As we approach the 2024 elections, it's more important than ever that progressive news like Daily Kos doesn't just survive, but that we thrive.
