Dear John,


The annual barbecue has long been a family affair, young children, grandparents and everybody in between enjoying a spring day at our Touch the Earth Ranch. As the  COVID-19 pandemic rolls across America, all of us share a common challenge to slow the spread of the virus, and provide the necessary medical care and everyday necessities for families. Maintaining the safety and well-being of our constituents and supporters is always my top priority. Therefore we are postponing our 43rd BBQ. We will wait to reschedule until we have clear guidance that it is safe for us to gather once again. When that time comes, Patti and I will happily greet you at the corral gate and give thanks for all of our passage through these difficult times together.

Our prayers are for a rapid recovery for those who are ill, for our society, and every community around the world facing this global challenge.
