John,

We just built a new tool to help you know your options for voting at home during the coronavirus pandemic, so you and your family can stay safe and still participate in this election.

You can see your state’s Vote at Home options and find out how to request a ballot here:

Vote at Home is a proven, safe, and secure way to vote – and it’s already the default in 6 states. But in many states voters still have to request a ballot, and in 16 states it's not available without an "excuse" like being out of town. Whether you live in a Vote at Home state or not, we’re asking everyone to contact lawmakers to make voting at home possible for everyone.

Find out what the Vote at Home options are in your state, forward this email to your friends and family so they can vote safely, too, then contact lawmakers to make sure everyone can vote.

Unrig Spotlight 2020 Postponed

We have made the difficult yet necessary decision to reschedule the movement’s largest convening, which was planned for this May. We are working quickly with all confirmed speakers and the original venue, Miami’s New World Center, to determine a new date and bring you the same fantastic programming. Urging lawmakers to allow all Americans to Vote at Home

Nobody should have to choose between voting and their safety – and the coronavirus doesn’t have to interfere with our elections if we allow Vote At Home options to all Americans. Right now, voters in 16 states won’t be able to vote from home. To that end, we are supporting a bill in Congress that would require all states to allow voters to request absentee ballots so they can vote safely from home.

Volunteer actions and in person events

Effective immediately, we are canceling all in-person volunteering and events until at least April 17th. As always, our Action Brigade volunteers continue to take action digitally to meet the needs of anti-corruption campaigns across the country. I invite you to join them.

Our staff and community

Under guidance from state and federal officials, we are requiring all of our staff to work from home for the foreseeable future and making necessary changes to our policies and operations to prioritize the health and safety of our organization.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is an unprecedented and distressing development for everyone in this country and around the world. It will impact each of us individually and the anti-corruption movement as a whole in unforeseen ways – but it will not derail the important work of this community.

It’s often in times as uncertain and unprecedented as these that the true power and resiliency of the American people becomes clear. I have no doubt that the coming weeks and months will bring hardship and challenges. At the same time, my faith in this country and this movement has never been stronger. At RepresentUs, we remain optimistic, forward-thinking, and solutions-oriented. Rolling with the punches is in our DNA.

Thank you,

Josh Silver
