Hello,

This week, I was humbled to join a group of fellow activists on Capitol Hill at
our #SaveAsylum rally, urging senators to reject the most extreme anti-immigrant legislation proposed in nearly a century.

It was a powerful moment where we made it abundantly clear to members of
Congress that our communities are not bargaining chips , and that we will not stand by while they negotiate our rights away.

It is shameful to witness our elected representatives succumb to fear and turn
against our communities. So, while Congress stays busy playing politics, we will
dedicate our time to fighting for our rights. No matter what it takes.

Thank you for your support,

Kica Matos

P.S. You can help further amplify our call to action by contacting your senators
to urge them to refuse any plans that would decimate our asylum system. We’ve
taken the time to write a letter, and you can add your voice by signing and
hitting send!
