You see, I have to ask you to chip in before my mid-month fundraising deadline on Tuesday, but first, I have an important message about North Carolina’s future.
Right now, Democrats everywhere need to stand together.
Women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and even our public schools are under threat by the GOP — and radical Republican legislators have attacked the rules of our elections in an attempt to consolidate their power.
I’ve sounded the alarm on the threat to our democracy, John, but I can't take on the fight against far-right extremism alone. My team and I set a $60,000 fundraising goal for this month. We have to hit certain marks, but if we can't hit the halfway mark by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, we may have to adjust our plans for the weeks ahead. The GOP-controlled legislature is hard at work trying to unravel a lot of our progress.
And if they hold onto their legislative supermajority in November, they’ll advance their radical agenda even further.
We HAVE to stop the NC GOP in their tracks by defeating them at the ballot box.
