Hi John,

A couple weeks ago I let you know one of our top priorities this year is
pushing back against the attempted California takeover of the auto market.

We keep seeing that Americans as a whole want freedom and opportunity, not the
big government of Bidenomics and the bluest states.

I haven’t sent you an email update yet this year, but when I saw this op-ed in

<[link removed]>
theNew York Post I thought you’d be interested.

We’re fighting every day in Washington to stop Bidenomics and unleash
Americans from government over-regulation, interference and dependency, and
over-spending.

But we also have individual states that provide a stark example of what
principled policy can achieve vs. stagnant states that emphasize top-down
control.

AFP-Texas state director Genevieve Collins answers the question: what’s
driving people to Texas?

“Above all, the state offers a haven for those seeking prosperity, innovation
and a more business-friendly environment.”

Recent census data shows people are moving from New York and California to
Texas for that opportunity.

It’s reminiscent of the phenomena nearly 200 years ago when people across
America in search of new opportunity and prosperity would paint “GTT” or “Gone
to Texas” on doors before leaving for a better life.

People want more freedom and more opportunity. It’s in the numbers.

Thank you for your support and action with Americans for Prosperity so we can
help enact principled policies. Together in 2024, we’ll make freedom and
opportunity win across all America.

Best,

— Akash
