Dear Neighbors,
My heart is heavy with grief from the news of our Vang neighbors who experienced a tragic house fire that claimed the lives of four young children and injured three others. As the family continues to grieve and grapple with the loss of family and home, our community is rallying around the Vangs to be there for support. My Eastside colleague, Representative Athena Hollins, and I spoke with the Vang family recently to offer our support. Today a community vigil will be held at the American Indian Magnet School on the Eastside from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
These devastating circumstances are truly heartbreaking; but I am always in awe of the light Eastsiders bring to help our neighbors in need.
