Friend—Haven’t we done enough harm in Yemen?
The news yesterday that the U.S. and U.K. bombed the capital of the poorest Arab country filled my heart with sorrow.
The U.S. is already responsible for the humanitarian crisis in Yemen where hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have died from starvation or direct military action conducted via U.S.-supplied weaponry.
Now, President Biden is circumventing Congress once again to bomb Yemen in response to the Houthi blockade of the Red Sea.
Violence begets more violence, and Israel’s assault on Gaza is spiraling out into a region-wide war, aided and abetted by the United States.
We need a ceasefire now and we need to elect anti-war candidates to Congress in just over a month.
I am the most viable candidate running for this open seat to call for a ceasefire. Can I have your support in getting out our anti-war message?
