Last week, I continued my 36 County Tour at Rural Development Partners in Forest City.
I was glad that State Senator Dave Rowley and State Representative Henry Stone could join me for our conversation about encouraging investment in our rural communities and up and down our main streets.

I recently had the opportunity to tour Art’s Way Manufacturing in Armstrong.
We discussed the importance of rebuilding our domestic manufacturing sector and extending strong provisions from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that have already expired or are set to expire in 2025.

With more snow on its way, I wanted to take a moment to thank the Iowa State Patrol and our first responders for assisting over 600 people during the snowstorm last week.

MY WEEKLY COLUMN: RESTORING AMERICAN ENERGY PRODUCTION AND INDEPENDENCE
In 2019, the United States became energy independent for the first time in 62 years. However, on his first day in office, President Biden destroyed American energy production by killing the Keystone XL pipeline, banning energy development on federal lands, and outsourcing our energy needs to our enemies. His failed energy policies have not only raised gas prices for our families but have also threatened our national and economic security.
This Congress, I have supported legislation to promote American energy production – including homegrown Iowa biofuels – and reduce costs for our families when they fill up their gas tanks.
