When President Biden won the 2020 election and Democrats held on to both houses of Congress, we knew that one of our top priorities had to be tackling the existential threat of climate change.
It wasn’t easy—industry groups fought hard against us and not a single Republican joined our effort. But in the end, we passed the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate investment in history.
One key program in the law provides folks with rebates for improving energy efficiency in their homes. NPR published an article and interview about how you can use the Inflation Reduction Act to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Check it out below.
Upgrading your heater or your boiler. Buying a heat pump or an electric stove. Those and many more options can now be cheaper for you because of this law. And they can help fight climate change too.
We can do more impactful work by continuing to invest in green technologies that save people money and lower our emissions. And, by continuing to elect Democrats who will fight for policies that benefit hardworking families and protect our climate.
