This week, I continued to speak out against the pseudoscience of transitioning the gender of minors with dangerous, irreversible surgery. I also slammed the International Criminal Court and South Africa for targeting Israel over its just war against Hamas, and continued to highlight how Joe Biden’s border crisis is hurting Texas. 

As always, I greatly appreciate the support that patriots like you continue to show me. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen an outpouring of small dollar donations that are the lifeblood of my campaign for re-election. Even in this vitriolic political environment, I remain committed to fighting for the issues that matter most to you in Congress. I can’t win re-election without your help, and I hope that you can donate even a small amount to my campaign so I can continue serving you and the great people of Texas in Congress.

THE RADICAL PSEUDOSCIENCE OF TRANSITIONING MINORS
If you need more proof that the World Health Organization has gone full crazy, watch the above video. It is a perfect encapsulation of the radical pseudoscience of permanently changing a child’s gender through dangerous surgery. 

Basically, they are arguing that there should not even be an assessment from medical professionals as to whether “gender dysphoria” is truly apparent before transition surgery. They’re arguing that there should be no gatekeeping mechanisms to even slightly slow down the ultimate decision to conduct this irreversible surgery. 

Sadly, this ideology is not relegated to the crazies over at the World Health Organization. It’s prevalent right here in the United States, even among some of our most respected medical institutions. 

That’s why I introduced legislation to cut funding for children’s hospitals that engage in this pseudoscience nonsense. I’m still waiting on Republican leadership to bring this bill to the floor, but it needs to happen sooner than later so we can follow the lead of states like Texas and begin to stop these dangerous experiments on children.

THE ABSURD ACCUSATIONS AGAINST ISRAEL
This week, South Africa brought an absurd accusation against Israel to the International Criminal Court, claiming that Israel is engaging in genocide in their just war against Hamas.

Just to remind everyone: Israel is defending itself after Hamas launched the deadliest single attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust – killing, torturing, raping, and abducting Israelis simply because they were Jews.
 
You can disagree with Israel’s response, but to call it genocide perverts and distorts the meaning of the word. 
 
South Africa’s charges are not only absurd, they’re insanely hypocritical. This is the same South Africa which basically allows a reverse revenge Apartheid – their government essentially allows attacks on white farmers to go unpunished. There were country-wide riots over the issue in 2020.
 
This is just another effort to stop Israel from decimating Hamas so these terrorists cannot repeat the atrocities of October 7.
TEXAS CONTINUES TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF BIDEN’S OPEN BORDER
This week, Texas officials seized a park along the southern border as part of Governor Abbott’s emergency powers in response to the unprecedented border crisis. Texas has been using the park as a base to stop illegal immigration while the Biden Administration has allowed it to reach unprecedented levels. 

The reason Governor Abbott has been hesitant to go this far until now is because he did not want to put his own state law enforcement officers at odds with federal law enforcement officers. 

But we should fight that legal battle when and if it comes. The fact of the matter is that Texas has been doing the job of the federal government - safeguarding the homeland by actively combating illegal entry into our country - for far too long. 

It is absurd that Texas even has to take action like this. But we are left with little choice when we are on the front lines of a surge in illegal immigration that threatens the safety, sovereignty, and rule of law not only in Texas but America as a whole, with zero help from the federal government.

If the Biden Administration goes after Texas harder than illegal immigrants crossing into our country, it tells you all you need to know about their priorities.  

The time for action is long past due.
