Our journey so far
As you may know, I am a children's court attorney and a community activist. I’ve learned firsthand what our community needs and experiences. Which is why my values are where I put my community first:
1). Life Empowering Policies:
Everyone deserves an equal chance at life, and I provide policies that allow a safety net to enable people to thrive. No one should have their basic needs at stake, and my policies can ensure that in our community.
2). Co-governance:
I want to rejuvenate our community participation and actively bring local activists into the equation. I already work as a community activist and serve as someone who keeps people in the dialogue. Which is something I am achieving in my Responsive Representation Bill. Which makes our bureaucratic practices more transparent for the public
3). People-Centered Politics:
We must shift the paradigm by putting political power in people’s hands. No more appealing to the authority of corporate donors and lobbyists. Our current representative, Jimmy Gomez, is preventing the people’s right to have a say in their politics and cutting them out of the equation.
