John Bolton in the Washington Examiner: Moscow is using the 2024 Moldovan elections to chart their possible next move towards rebuilding the Russian empire. Moldova is thought to be the next chess piece to fall if the Russians get the result they want in both these elections and in Ukraine.

Critical Context: Russia has their sights on defeating Moldova’s current president, Maia Sandu, largely because she is perceived as pro-American and anti-corruption. Defeating Sandu is a logical next step in their path to snuff out resistance.

The Final Word: The West should be concerned that Russia could interfere to get the result they wish. We need to be paying close attention to prevent this. If not, we risk losing another country to Russian aggression.
