Justice Democrats

John,

Our country and our world are in a pivotal, historic moment right now.

Over the last two days, the country of South Africa — whose people survived through decades of apartheid — made their case against Israel for violating the Genocide Convention in the International Court of Justice at The Hague. South Africa presented detailed, damning evidence of Israel intentionally conducting genocide against Palestinians, and is seeking to hold them accountable and end the killing with a permanent ceasefire.

Unsurprisingly, the Biden Administration claims this case is meritless, while it continues to unconditionally support and fund the Israeli military’s all-out assault on innocent Palestinian civilians and further escalate conflict in the Middle East.

Last night, the U.S. conducted military strikes in Yemen without any Congressional authorization. A dangerous, unilateral decision by President Biden that completely disregards our Constitution. Every member of Congress should find these actions to be unacceptable.

We cannot allow our government to skirt responsibility for its contributions to this genocide and throw us into yet another endless war in the Middle East. The White House and Congress must act immediately and refuse to send even one more dollar to the Israeli military and work towards brokering an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

Justice Democrats incumbents like Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, and Summer Lee were among the first to condemn the Biden Administration’s escalation in Yemen, and continue to lead the call for an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza. But we could risk losing their pro-peace voices in Congress this year as they face tough re-election fights and a $100 million threat from the Israel lobby.

If you can, please help us strengthen the movement for peace and human rights here and abroad by fueling Justice Democrats’ work to protect the Squad from right-wing, pro-war opponents like AIPAC in this year’s critical elections →

Now is the time for us to come together and show that the American people have no interest in their government enabling the genocide of the Palestinian people or waging another endless war in the Middle East in their name, paid for by our taxpayer dollars.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats

Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time.

There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment.
