The National Debt is a wake-up call

[link removed]

Dear Fellow Patriot,

The Treasury Department's recent announcement that the United States national debt has reached a staggering $34 trillion is a wake-up call for all of us.

This astronomical figure, equivalent to the combined economies of China, Germany, Japan, India, and the U.K., underscores the critical situation we face.

In just three months, the debt has increased by $1 trillion.

To put this into a relatable context, imagine every American household contributing $1,000 monthly; it would still take 22 years to pay down the national debt – and that's without it rising further. This situation should alarm every citizen.

Despite these alarming figures, the Biden administration and many in Congress continue to turn a blind eye.

The decision last May to raise the debt limit without addressing the root causes of our fiscal issues – unchecked government spending – has led us to where we are today: experiencing high inflation and a struggling economy.

As your representative, I voted against raising the debt limit because I understood the consequences of ignoring our spending problem.

Our families and small businesses are bearing the brunt of these misguided policies.

Congress must take decisive action to address these fiscal imbalances. This means drastically reducing unnecessary and wasteful spending and implementing policies that stimulate economic growth while tackling our out-of-control debt.

Last year, there were numerous opportunities to curb spending. For instance, I supported an amendment proposing a modest 1% cut in spending. Yet, this sensible proposal was defeated, with many Republicans joining Democrats in opposition. The refusal to make even a minimal spending cut signals a worrying inability to address our debt crisis.

Moreover, the willingness of these same lawmakers to allocate billions of dollars to foreign ventures, like in Ukraine, while neglecting our domestic fiscal responsibilities, is unacceptable. Frankly, this necessitates a significant change in our congressional representation. We need a new cadre of Republicans committed to fiscal responsibility and the well-being of our nation.

I urge you to join me in this critical fight. Our nation's future and the prosperity of our citizens depend on it ([link removed] .

Together, we can work towards a more fiscally responsible government that prioritizes the needs of the American people ([link removed]
