Every single day, Donald Trump shows us exactly who he is. A man unfit to lead this nation, and unwilling to restore civility in our communities. If you know me, you know that I talk about civility every chance I get, and our former president is standing in our way.
When we can come together, we can find better solutions. That’s why I reach across the aisle to bring both sides together so we can work as Democrats and Republicans to deliver more effective solutions to the problems Americans face every day.
But let me be clear on one thing. There are no “both sides” to the threat Donald Trump poses to our democracy.
The fear, misinformation, division, and hatred that Trump is putting into our country are not bipartisan solutions to fix any problem. His dangerous MAGA agenda is the problem, which is why we need to come together to fight back.

Earlier this year, Trump took to Truth Social to attack me and John with his hateful bullying. This came moments after he told Democrats to “rot in hell” in his Christmas post.
Trump’s threats aren’t limited to online bullying though. His MAGA agenda is full of dangerous threats to our democracy with his “Project 2025” plan to dismantle the federal government through a MAGA overhaul. This type of one-sided assault on our democracy is not what America deserves. We need to bring back civility where we work together to build back better.
That’s why we need to win the presidency for President Joe Biden, protect our majority in the U.S. Senate, and take back the majority in the U.S. House. Michigan is going to be one of the most critical battleground states to get this job done, which is why I’m reaching out to you today.
