Hi Friend,
This is Rhoda, a single mom from Zambia. We met her on our latest Flying Eye Hospital training project – and she was an absolute superstar.
We just love this picture of her posing alongside anesthesiologist Dr. Andrew Choyce (part of the Flying Eye Hospital team and one of the best in the world) and local colleagues who were thrilled to be working with him.
Rhoda now has clear vision after her cataract was successfully operated on by Dr. Fonseka, Orbis Volunteer Faculty, in our partner hospital in Lusaka. Not only was her sight restored, but the local anesthesiology team and the local cataract team all took away new skills and experience from two of the world’s leading experts – all thanks to you, our amazing supporters.
