John,
After serving the people of Iowa both in the House and Senate for 32 years, I've decided not to run for re-election and instead create space for fresh perspectives to guide our state forward.
As I bid farewell to the honor of serving Dubuque in the Iowa Senate, I want to thank the people of Dubuque for the honor and privilege of serving them and our community in the Iowa Legislature. It’s truly been an honor that words do not adequately express.
I also want to extend heartfelt thanks to my colleagues for their unwavering support in the Iowa Senate.
Together, we've achieved significant milestones for Dubuque and Iowa, from expanding affordable health insurance coverage to ensuring access to early childhood and affordable higher education. We've championed government transparency, environmental protection, and much more.
I remain committed to delivering a better deal for all Iowans.
I am excited to pass the torch to the next generation of leaders in the community. I am confident that, as the Leader of the Iowa Senate Democrats, we will continue to secure Democratic victories across the state this year, but we need your help.
John, I look forward to supporting our state Democrats as they continue the journey toward an Iowa with more freedom, opportunity, and accountability—will you support Iowa Senate Dems with a contribution of $32 in honor of my 32 years of service today?
