Legislators have returned to Sacramento for the new year -- and that means it's time to mobilize for YIMBY Lobby Day!

We're scheduling meetings with your state legislators on Monday, April 8 in Sacramento, and we'd love for you to participate. Constituent meetings are one of the most effective forms of advocacy to support legislation that will tackle the housing shortage and affordability crisis. These meetings are a great way to amplify the voice of the YIMBY movement. And it's a lot of fun! Will you join us?

It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned housing advocate or just getting involved for the first time -- we'll make it easy for you to talk with your Assemblymember and/or your State Senator about key legislation we want them to pass in the 2024 session. But please RSVP now, as we schedule meetings based on where we have people signed up!

In 2024 we want to improve the gender balance and bring more attendees from historically underrepresented communities to meetings with state legislators. We need your help to spread the word to make sure our female presenting neighbors and those from historically underrepresented communities feel welcome to join in our meetings with state legislators.

To help facilitate this increased diversity of our participants, we will be reserving a portion of our travel reimbursements specifically for members of the underrepresented groups mentioned above to ensure the funds are distributed equitably. Please RSVP now so we can make sure to get travel booked!

We'll have training events, talking points and materials ahead of time, along with providing helpful hints and time to prep with your Lobby Team when we're all gathered in Sacramento on the morning of April 8 before the actual meetings. Plan to join us for the full day as we'll have even more programming this year!
