Team — across the country, at all levels of government, we’re seeing conservative politicians and judges attack Americans’ voting rights.
From the attempted gutting of the Voting Rights Act to marginalized communities facing further voter suppression, it’s incredibly troubling to see one of our nation’s core principles consistently under attack.
We’re proud to see New Jersey and the Murphy Administration step up as leaders in protecting and expanding voting rights. The governor recently signed the New Voter Empowerment Act, which expands voting access to young people, allowing 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections as long they turn 18 by the general election.
Giving young people a voice in elections is critical, and this legislation will only help increase the state’s already high voter turnout.
If you’re proud of New Jersey and Gov. Murphy’s administration's work empowering young voters, expanding our state’s vote-by-mail program, and establishing in-person early voting, add your name to show your support. [[link removed]]
